We just couldn’t catch a break yesterday. Still shaking my head at the outcomes of yesterday’s games.
The Rangers did their part in the early game, scoring three but the Flyers couldn’t get on the board keeping the game under the total.
Then the Penguins lose an easy one to Carolina, taking 16 penalty minutes (compared to just 2 by the Hurricanes), and allowed the Canes to out-shoot them 35 to 22 and win the game 4-2.
Jhonas Enroth stood on his head last night for the Sabres, making 31 saves on 32 shots from Montreal to finish the game with the first star and a .968 save percentage.
In the late game the Blues dominated the Oilers in shots (41 to 16) , had a 1-0 lead early but couldn’t wrap things up until overtime, spoiling our play on the Blues puck line.
We will see some of the same matchups from yesterday again today, Pittsburgh travels to Carolina, Buffalo faces the Habs at the Bell Centre, The Flyers will meet the Rangers in New York for their second straight matinee. We will be staying away from these three games!
