Tonights NHL Picks November 1st 2014

1-0 last night as the Leafs dominated the Blue Jackets 4-1. Three picks for tonight, one of them is a system pick at the bottom of the email.
Philadelphia Flyers @ Florida Panthers: FLYERS 1.87
Risk: 2 Units | Win: 1.74 Units (Members Only Pick)
The Flyers looked doomed at the beginning of the season, losing four in a row to the Bruins, Devils, Canadiens, and Ducks. Since then, the Flyers have won four of their last six games,  emerging victorious against Dallas (6-5) ,Pittsburgh (5-3), Detroit (4-3), LA (3-2 OT). As you’ve probably noticed, the Flyers have not been shy in the scoring department, scoring an average of 3.20 goals per game, ranking them 7th overall on offense. The Florida Panthers are the second lowest scoring team in the NHL with 1.50 goals per game, behind the Buffalo Sabres who are last place scoring 1.09 goals per game. The Panthers have scored even fewer games at home, 1.00 goals per game at home while the Flyers are scoring 3.00 goals per game on the road. The Panthers have been a lot tighter defensively, allowing just 2.00 goals against per game (5th), and are allowing 2.33 GA/GP at Home. The Flyers defense is the 5th worst in the NHL allowing 3.40 goals against per game, but they are facing the second worst offensive team in the League tonight. The Florida special teams are embarrassing, as they are just 13.3% on the power play (23rd) and 28th on the penalty kill with a 73.2 PK%. The Flyers have the 9th best power play (22.9%) while their overall penalty kill is 25th overall (75.9%), but note that the Flyers have a sensational road penalty kill that has been effective 56.3% of the time! Steve Mason is confirmed for the Flyers tonight and although he is off to a losing record of 0-3-1 Mason has a career record of 6-1-0 against Florida with a 1.55 GAA. Roberto Luongo is probable for the Panthers and is 3-2-2 on the season with a 2.33 GAA and a .926 SV%. Roberto has a career record of 5-7-2 against Philadelphia with a 3.21 GAA. Sports Insights is indicating 90% of the bets on Philadelphia so you may want to lock this one in soon.
Columbus Blue Jackets @ New Jersey Devils: DEVILS -1 2.03
Risk: 2 Units | Win: 2.06 Units

Note: This pick is on the Devils to win by more than one goal. If they win by exactly one goal, this will be a push. If they win by more than 1 goal, we win. This line was taken from Pinnacle Sports.
You must take the handicap and adjust it from -1.5 to -1.
If you cannot buy/sell points at your sports book I would recommend (either signing up at Pinnacle or) take the Devils puck line for 1 unit, or the Devils to win outright for 3 units. Current Puck Line odds for the Devils at Pinnacle are  2.75 and 1.60 for the Devils to win OT included.
The Blue Jackets are still riddled with injuries, Foligno made the return last night but that didn’t help the Blue Jackets as they lost 4-1 to the Maple Leafs, cashing an underdog winner for members.  The Blue Jackets are still without Anisimov, Letestu, Calvert, Wisniewski, Horton, Dubinsky, Gibbons,  Jenner, and starting goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky. Curtis McElhinney made the start for Columbus last night and is now 0-2 on the season with a .859 SV% and a 4.49 GAA. Curtis is probable for Columbus tonight as Bob is still out with a fractured finger. The Blue Jackets have lost four in a row, and have allowed three times as many goals against as they have scored in those four games, as the Blue Jackets were outscored 18-6 by their opponents. The Devils have had one day to rest since their 2-1 shootout victory over the Jets on Thursday, that was a big night for the Devils as they finally snapped their NHL record 18 game shootout losing streak. The Devils are scoring 2.90 goals per game on average, the Blue Jackets are scoring 2.60 goals per game but haven’t scored more than two goals in one game in a week since their 5-4 victory over San Jose on Oct. 23rd. When it comes to defense, the Blue Jackets are allowing 3.40 goals against per game (24th) while the Devils are 22nd allowing 3.30 GA/GP. Note that when playing at Home the Devils have allowed just 2.75 GA/GP while the Jackets are allowing 3.40 goals against per game played on the road. The Devils special teams have been phenomenal at Home, as they have a 33.3 % Home power play, accompanied by an impressive 54.5 % Home penalty kill. The Blue Jackets are just 19% on the power play overall (17th) while the Devils have the 4th best power play in the NHL overall at 25%. Columbus has a 24th overall penalty kill (76.7%) and are just 75% on the road penalty kill. The Blue Jackets have lost four in a row, are riddled with injuries and are playing on no rest tonight. Take the Devils to hand the Blue Jackets their fifth loss in a row.
