Tonights NHL Picks November 10th 2014

And the winning continues last night going 1-0 with a nice underdog winner on the Canucks defeating the Ducks 2-1.
That brings us to 6-0 since Thursday, for a gain of 13.48 units.
We’re going with one play for tonight, write-up will be sent out later on.
Calgary Flames @ Carolina Hurricanes: FLAMES 1.97
Risk: 2 Units | Win: 1.94 Units
The Flames are 9-5-2 on the season, seven of those nine wins came on the road, where the Flames are 7-3-0, leading the League in wins on the road. Calgary is scoring an average of 3.00 goals per game overall, the 6th best offense in the NHL as of today. When playing on the road, the Flames are scoring 3.40 goals per game, and will meet the Hurricanes defense which is ranked 25th overall allowing 3.15 goals against per game. The Canes offense ranks just 24th overall with 2.38 goals per game. Jonas Hiller is off to a 7-3-1 start on the season with a 2.07 GAA and a .931 SV%, and is confirmed to start for Calgary tonight. Cam Ward is confirmed for Carolina and has improved his record to 4-3-1 with a 2.72 GAA and a .894 SV%, winning each of his last four starts. The Hurricanes managed to win four games so far finding two victories over Columbus, one over Arizona, and managed to defeat the Kings 3-2; the Kings presented the only real challenge. These two clubs met back on October 23th and the Flames embarrassed the Hurricanes by a score of 5-0. Carolina managed just 16 shots on goal during that contest. The Flames have won each of the last four meetings against Carolina, dating back to 2011. The Calgary offense has been electric so far, captain Mark Giordano leads all NHL defensemen with five goals and thirteen assists (18 points) and is currently +8, while T.J. Brodie is third with 14 points (4 goals, 10 assists) and is +11. The Hurricanes look a little better since facing Calgary a few weeks back and likely won’t be blanked 5-0 again tonight, but the Calgary offense is just too strong and will face the 5th worst defense in the NHL tonight, which belongs to Carolina with 3.15 GA/GP. Take Calgary as dogs tonight to find their eighth win on the road at the expense of the Hurricanes.
