Chicago Blackhawks @ Boston Bruins: BLACKHAWKS 2.34

Two of the NHL’s finest will clash tonight in Boston. The Bruins have clinched a playoff spot as they are first place in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference with 104 points. The Blackhawks are second place in the Central Division (Western Conference) with 99 points. The Avalanche are right on their tail with 96 points and one less game played. The Bruins had their 12 game win streak snapped against Montreal on Monday, allowing just 22 shots against and capitalizing on just 1 of 6 power play opportunities. The Blackhawks doubled Dallas 4-2 on Tuesday, two days after their embarrassing 2-0 loss to the Nashville Predators. The Blackhawks remain the NHL’s highest scoring team with an average of 3.27 goals per game while their defense ranks 9th allowing 2.47 goals against per game. The Bruins rank 3rd overall for scoring with 3.17 goals per game. When it comes to special teams, the Bruins are 6th overall on the power play (20.3%) while the Blackhawks are converting 20.5% of the time, ranked 5th overall. The Chicago penalty kill unit is 16th overall (81.7%) while the Bruins are 9th at 83.7%. These two clubs are two of the most evenly matched teams in the League right now, and to get the Blackhawks at this price provides exceptional value for us. This game could easily go either way; we’ll take this great price on the Blackhawks to win.
