1-1 again last night, still profitable though as the great odds on the Flames earned us an additional 0.74 units on the night.
One four unit play going tonight:
New York Rangers @ Toronto Maple Leafs: RANGERS 1.72
Risk: 4 Units | Win: 2.88 Units
The struggling Toronto Maple Leafs meet the New York Rangers for the third time this season, the Leafs won the first two meetings, now the Rangers get a chance for revenge against this horrid Leafs club that lost eleven games in a row before finding a 5-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday. The Toronto offense is an abomination, scoring just 1.60 goals per game over their last 10 games. The Leafs were shutout twice in those ten games. The Rangers are coming off of a pair of back to back losses and look to get back into the win column tonight against Toronto. The Rangers won three in a row prior to their two game skid, and outscored opponents 13-6 (4-1 CAR, 6-3 FLA, 3-2 BOS). The Rangers have one of the two available Wild Card spots in the Eastern Conference as of today with 65 points in 51 games, they will be looking to advance up the standings with a win over Toronto tonight. The Leafs on the other hand have just 50 points in 54
games, and are 12th in the Eastern Conference standings (6th Atlantic). The Toronto defense is one of the five worst in the NHL, currently ranked 25th overall with 3.02 goals against per game, while the Rangers have the fourth best defense in the League that allows just 2.33 GA/GP. New York ranks 7th on offense with 2.94 goals per game, while the Leafs have dropped to 13th overall with 2.78 goals per game, and scored just 1.60 G/GP over their last 10 games. Dion Phaneuf has been placed on injured reserve with a hand injury, while Bernier missed the 5-1 win over the Oilers with illness and will not start in goal for Toronto tonight. James Reimer is confirmed in goal for Toronto and is 7-11-0 with a 3.11 GAA and a .907 SV%. Cam Talbot is probable for the Rangers as Lundqvist is still out with a neck injury. Cam has a record of 5-5-2 with a 2.28 GAA and a .918 save percentage. The Rangers are clearly the better team and can get right back
on track with a win over Toronto tonight. I’m surprised we aren’t seeing more juice on the Rangers tonight. Take the Rangers for four units against the struggling Toronto Maple Leafs.
