Tonights NHL Picks December 4th 2014

We hit a push on our over last night with five goals, while the Habs fell to the Wild by a score of 2-1.
Two picks for tonight, we are getting great odds on both selections:
Vancouver Canucks @ Pittsburgh Penguins: CANUCKS 2.45
Risk: 2 Units | Win: 2.90 Units
The 2nd place Pacific Division Vancouver Canucks will head into Pittsburgh for the first time this season, looking for their first victory at the Consol Energy Center since Jan.16th, 2010. The Penguins have won each of the last four meetings against the Canucks, but note that each of the last three of those games were decided in a shootout, with Pittsburgh emerging victorious. Vancouver is 17-7-0-1 on the season, and lead the NHL in wins away from home with their 10-4-0 record when playing on the road. The Canucks have outscored Pittsburgh over their last 10 games, putting an average of 3.10 goals per game on the board, compared to just 2.60 goals per game over the Penguins last 10 games. Pittsburgh has the 3rd best offense in the NHL overall with 3.33 goals per game, but note that the Canucks are just one spot behind, sitting in 4th place on offense with 3.08 goals per game overall. The Penguins didn’t look good at all in any of their last three contests, splitting a home-and-home with Carolina, and allowed the Hurricanes to out-shoot them in both games. Since those meetings last weekend the Penguins have faced the Devils, finding a 1-0 victory while putting just 23 shots on goal. The Penguins haven’t been scoring (or shooting) nearly as much as they are accustomed to, scoring just 6 goals in their past  three games, an average of 2.00 goals per game, and have scored just 2.60 G/GP over their last 10 games. The Penguins power play is the best in the NHL overall at 30.8%, but note that they have gone just 3 for 22 on the man advantage over their last 11 games (13.6%), and have scored just 15.8% of the time on the man advantage over their last 10 games. This Pittsburgh club is riddled with injuries (and one suspension), currently without Kunitz, Goc, Wilson, Bortuzzo (susp.), Bennett, Letang, and Dupuis. The Canucks are 11th overall on the power play (21.2%) and have gone 22.2% over their last 10 games. Both clubs share similar penalty kill numbers as the Canucks are 9th overall with a 84.3 PK%, while the Pens sit in the 6th place position with an 85.6 PK%. This is an exceptional price on Vancouver tonight, they lead the League with road wins (with 10), are outscoring the Penguins right now and are mostly healthy aside from Kassian, Hamhuis, and Sestito. Its time for the Canucks to get back into the win column against the Penguins. Take this generous gift on the Canucks tonight at odds of 2.45.
