The Sabres shootout victory last night brought us our fifth straight winner in a row, and we add another 2.56 units to the bankroll.
Lots of action in the League tonight, we have one play locked in. Sending this out early as we expect lots of action on this “over” tonight. This one probably could’ve been set at a 6 goal total, and may end up there if the over 5.5 gets enough bets.
Write-up will be sent out later today.
Anaheim Ducks @ Toronto Maple Leafs: OVER 5.5 GOALS 1.84
Risk: 2 Units | Win: 1.68 Units
The Anaheim Ducks are the best team in the NHL, sitting atop the League standings with 47 points, the Penguins aren’t far behind with 44 points. The Ducks are on a seven game winning streak, and have scored plenty of goals during that streak (27 to be exact), an average of 3.86 goals per game during their seven game winning streak. Anaheim has won eight of their past ten games, scoring an average of 3.40 goals per game, while allowing 2.90 goals against per game over their last 10 games. The Toronto Maple Leafs sit 10th overall in the League standings with 39 points, but note that the Leafs are the new highest scoring team in the NHL with 3.37 goals per game. The Ducks rank 13th overall on offense with 2.84 goals per game. The Leafs have the most active offense in the NHL right now but their defense is struggling, currently ranked 21st overall allowing an average of 2.80 goals against per game. The Leafs also have a winning streak to be proud of that is currently at five in a row, and eight of their last ten just like the Ducks. The Leafs have been lighting the lamp as of late, scoring 3.80 goals per game over their last 10 games, which put them past the Lightning in scoring. This game will feature two of the Leagues ten highest point earners, Ryan Getzlaf (7th overall in points with 33), and Phil Kessel (10th overall with 31 points). Note that Kessel has 9 points in 6 career games versus the Ducks. Dany Heatley could be back in the lineup for the Ducks tonight as he was recalled from conditioning on Monday. Frederik Andersen is probable for Anaheim tonight and although he has won his past seven starts, four of those games went over the total, the two games that stayed under ended with five goal totals, while only one game stayed under a 5 goal total. Frederik is 17-4-4 on the season with a 2.38 GAA and a .915 SV%, while Jonathan Bernier (probable for Toronto) is 12-6-3 with a 2.55 GAA and a .920 SV%. Both the Ducks and Leafs are red hot right now, and are scoring plenty of goals. The Leafs are the new highest scoring team in the League, while the Ducks remain the NHL’s finest with 47 points. We should expect to see either club light the lamp quite a few times tonight in Toronto, to send this one OVER 5.5 Goals.
