What a night last night as our selection on the Devils to win was looking great heading into the 3rd. The Devils were up 3-0 at the start of the 3rd, and then allowed the Oilers to come back and score 3 goals. At 13:30 of the 3rd the Oilers were suddenly in the lead 4-3, and then New Jersey scored another goal making it 4-4- which led to Overtime- and then a shootout: where the Devils lost the game 5-4! An unbelievable upset last night on what looked like an easy underdog winner at the start of the third as the Devils blew a 3-0 lead and lost the game in a shootout. We have two plays going so far tonight, with two underdogs who provide excellent value:

Tampa Bay Lightning @ Buffalo Sabres: Lightning 2.02 BetOnline

Why are the Sabres favorites against any team right now? The Sabres are 0-3 this season, averaging a lousy .67 goals for per game, and are allowing an average of 2.33 goals against, ONLY due to their red hot goal tending by Ryan Miller. What would they do without Mr.Miller? Miller has had 80 shots against him in 2 games, and has allowed only 3 goals (.963 SV%). Sabres backup Jhonas Enroth has allowed the same amount of goals (3) in only 1 game and 34 shots. Tampa Bay has gone 1-1 so far this season (both of their opponents being last years Stanley Cup Finalists- Boston and Chicago) and gave us a huge underdog winner Saturday Night against Chicago. Tampa is averaging 1.50 Goals per game, and 2.5 GA/G: but keep in mind who their two opponents were. Against the Hawks on Saturday, Tampa managed to stop 1/5 Chicago powerplays, and went 1/1 on their own powerplay.  The “under” is also appealing in this game- but the goaltenders have not been confirmed yet. If Miller doesn’t start for Buffalo, the under is too risky. Take the Lightning to win tonight for plus money.

Colorado Avalanche @ Toronto Maple Leafs: Avalanche 2.24 BetOnline

These two undefeated teams will meet tonight in Toronto. The line on this one should be a little closer to even than what it is. We are getting excellent value tonight with the Avs. The Avalanche have scored 9 goals in 2 games (4.5 G/G), are allowing only 1 goal per game, and have a 100% PK%. Semyon Varlamov has been confirmed to start in goal tonight against the Leafs.  Varlamov has gone 2-0-0, with a 1.00 GAA and a .968 SV%. Former Halifax Moosehead Nathan MacKinnion (No.1 Draft Pick overall) has 3 points in 2 games played (all assists), and is looking for his first goal- or goals- of his NHL career tonight. The Maple leafs are 3-0 on the season and have averaged 3.67 G/G, and allowed an average of 2.67 goals per game. There is no confirmed goaltender for the Leafs so far, but they may want to play Jonathan Bernier as he has 1 goal against in 47 shots (.64 GAA, .979 SV%) and Reimer has 7 goals against in 58 shots for a  4.62 GAA  and .879 SV%. We will take the Avalanche tonight for an exceptional price. This game will be one you will want to watch.
