November 23 2013 Free NHL Picks

What a great night last night was as our only pick (4 Unit Pick) on the Isles/Pens OVER was an EASY WINNER before the end of the 2nd period! We picked up 3.8 units last night which means $100 bettors won $380 last night. That kind of pick last night are the kind of picks you will get with our Premium Picks Season Pass

With all kinds of hockey on the board today we have 3 plays going:

Carolina Hurricanes @ Boston Bruins : BRUINS -1.5 2.37
NOTE: THIS GAME STARTS AT 1:00 PM EST!

We were going to stick with the Bruins in regulation for a lower price, but we will grab this price on the puck line. In the last outing between these two, the Hurricanes pulled Cam Ward with less than a minute left when they were down by 2 goals (very unlikely Carolina could score 2 goals in a game – not to mention in the last minute of one) and Boston received the 4-1 victory. If Boston is in the lead by one goal this afternoon Carolina is likely to pull their goalie again which gives us a good shot at a puck line winner. The Bruins are 8-3-2 at Home and the Canes are 3-6-0 on the road. The Hurricanes score only 1.91 goals per game (2nd worst in the League) and allow 2.73 goals against. Note that when the Hurricanes play Away, they allow 3.56 goals against per game. The Bruins still have the best defense in the NHL, allowing only 1.77 goals against per game. The Bruins have the 13th place offense that scores 2.73 goals per game. The Hurricanes are terrible on their power play and penalty kill: they have a 11.9 PP% (2nd worst) and a 79.5 PK% (22nd overall or 8th worst) and when playing Away the Canes PK% drops all the way down to 73.7%. The Bruins have a solid penalty kill (86.8 PK%- 2nd best in the NHL) and the best defense in the League. The Bruins score on 17.9% of their power plays and face the brutal Hurricanes penalty kill. We will stick with the Bruins this afternoon and will look for them to cover the puck line at TD Garden.

Colorado Avalanche @ LA Kings: AVALANCHE 2.36

The Colorado Avalanche and LA Kings share very similar records, the Avalanche are 16-5-0 overall (7-2 Away) and the Kings are 15-6-2 overall (8-3-1 Home). The Avalanche win when it comes to offense, with 3.24 goals per game. The Kings score 2.61 goals per game. The defensive numbers for these two are almost identical with the Avalanche allowing 2.14 goals against per game and the Kings 2.13 GA/G. Colorado has a slight edge when it comes to special teams as they have a 20.6 PP% (12th overall) and when playing Away the Avalanche power play is slightly more successful scoring on 22.6 % of their power play tries when playing away. The Avalanche also have a great penalty kill unit (83.3 PK%- 12th overall) and when playing Away they are going 85.2 % on the penalty kill. The LA Kings have a 19.8 PP% (14th overall) and a 83.0 PK%. When playing at home, the Kings power play numbers are slightly better with a 22.0 PP% but their penalty kill is very weak at home, as they are only kill ing 77.8% of their penalties at home. This price of 2.36 (+136) on the Avalanche is too good to pass up. We have two evenly matched teams and we will gladly pick the one who provides us excellent value.

Chicago Blackhawks @ Vancouver Canucks: OVER 5.5 Goals 2.02
The Chicago Blackhawks are the highest scoring team in the NHL with 3.56 goals per game, but they also allow 2.92 goals per game which is 22nd or 8th worst in the NHL for goals against. Over their last 10 games the Blackhawks have averaged 3.90 goals per game which is incredible. However, in the same 10 games span the Blackhawks have allowed an average of 3.10 goals against. The last 8 of 10 games for the Blackhawks have gone over the total and all totals were set at 5.5 Goals. The Vancouver Canucks have had 7 of their last 10 games stay under the total, and have scored only 2.00 goals per game over their last 10, but they have taken plenty of shots. We have seen the Canucks take 47 shots against Toronto and couldn’t manage a goal (4-0 loss), and allowed only 21 shots against the Leafs. We have also seen the Canucks take 43 shots against the Dallas Stars (2-1 loss) and allow only 23 shots against to Dallas. The Canucks are taking plenty of shots but can’t seem t o score, and allowing goals on only a few shots against. The Canucks deserve more goals than they are getting based on the amount of shots they take. They should be able to score against Chicago who have allowed 3.10 goals against per game over their L10 on only 27 shots against on average over the last 10. Overall, the Blackhawks still allow lots of goals with 2.92 goals against per game. Also note that when the Blackhawks play away they allow 3.20 goals against, and still score a nice amount of goals with 3.50 G/G when playing away. The Blackhawks last 6 games on 1 day’s rest have gone Over the total (and 6 of 9 overall this season on 1 days rest) and their last 7 games against Western Conference opponents have all gone over the total. Take this OVER for a great price before the odds drop below even money.
