It was a good night last night as we split our picks 1-1 but our WINNER was on the Devils which were huge underdogs (2.58) and our 2 unit play on them cashed us 3.16 units. We have one pick going for today so far:
Colorado Avalanche @ Phoenix Coyotes: OVER 5.5 Goals 2.02
We have two of the top five of the NHL’s highest scoring teams competing against each other tonight. The Avalanche score 3.20 goals per game (5th overall) and the Coyotes sit in the 4th place spot with 3.29 goals per game. Over their Last 10 games, the Coyotes have scored an average of 3.40 goals per game, and have allowed 3.00 goals against per game, which is similar to their overall goals against of 3.05 GA/G. As you can see, the Coyotes are great on the offense but are not so good on defense. The Avalanche have scored 3.20 G/G over their last 10 games (which is the same as their overall goals per game) but have allowed slightly more goals against than normal, allowing 2.80 goals against over their L10 games (they allow 2.10 goals against overall). The Avalanche suffered a 3 game losing streak from Nov.12-16, scoring only 5 goals in those 3 games, but have since bounced back to their normal form against Chicago on Tuesday where they won 5-1. The Coyotes have a weak penalty kill unit, (78.5 PK%- 24th overall) and take an average of 11.0 penalty minutes per game. The Avalanche are converting on 19% of their power plays (15th overall). The Coyotes have a strong power play unit (22.4 PP%- 6th best) and over their last 10 games have gone 27% on the power play which is an exellent number, and the Avalanche have a 75.9 PK% over their L10 games (the Avalanche average 14.1 PIM/G) which is not good. Also note that the Coyotes have a low 72.7 PK% over their L10 games. We will take the OVER in this one for a nice price and will wait for the goals to pile up in Phoenix tonight.
*If any more plays are added later they will be sent out, if not consider this the only play!*
We’ve added two more picks for tonight which can be found below. They are both +1, meaning each selection has 1 goal added to their final score. This means that if they lose by 1, it will be a “push” and considered a tie (refund). There is no time for write-ups since the game starts in a few hours.
Tampa Bay Lightning @ San Jose Sharks: LIGHTNING +1 2.25
New Jersey Devils @ LA Kings: DEVILS +1 1.98
