Another victory last night with our OVER on the Nashville/Phoenix game that nearly doubled the total at 9 goals. We have picked up 17.68 units since Sunday, which means $100 bettors won $1768 this week. We extended our 8 game winning streak to 9 games last night and look for our 12th straight winner tonight if all of these three selections can come through:
New York Islanders @ Ottawa Senators: Islanders 2.27 & Over 5.5 Goals 1.92 BetOnline
*Note these are two separate picks for the same game. This is NOT a parlay*
This is a fantastic price on the Islanders tonight, and a decent price on the Over. We have two teams here that are pretty evenly matched and we get the Islanders at a great price. Both teams have 12 games played, the Islanders have gone 4-5-3 (2-2-0 away) and the Senators have gone 4-6-2 (1-3-0 home). Both the Islanders and Senators allow the exact same goals against per game at 3.08 GA/G. The Islanders offense manage 3.00 G/G, and the Senators are not far behind at 2.92 G/G. The New York Islanders are second in the league on the powerplay, at 25.6 PP% which is a fantastic number. They are going 81.1% on the Penalty Kill which is also a good number. The Islanders are also slightly more disciplined than the Senators, taking 9.8 PIM/G compared to the Senators 10.8 PIM/G. The Islanders latest victory was against the Penguins one week ago today, where the Islanders won 4-3. The Senators managed to defeat the Red Wings by a score of 6-1 on October 23rd, but since then they have lost 3 straight games. Seven of the twelve Senators games have gone soaring over the 5.5 goals total, as they have seen totals of 11, 9, and 7 (5 times). Seven of twelve Islanders games have also gone over the 5.5 goals total, with one game ending in 9 goals, and six more games ending in 7. Eleven of the fourteen “overs” for these two teams have ended in exactly 7 goals. One major flaw with the Senators is that they allow far too many shots against, at 37.0 S/A, this is the WORST Shots Against/Game average in the entire NHL (30th). Robin Lehner has been confirmed as the starter for the Sens tonight, he has gone 0-2-0 with a 2.41 GAA and a .940 SV%. Evgeni Nabokov is probable for the Isles, and he has gone 4-3-3 with a 2.84 GAA and a .906 SV%. We will take the Islanders tonight for an excellent price, and we will also look for this one to go OVER 5.5 goals.
St. Louis Blues @ Florida Panthers: Over 5.5 Goals 2.18 BetOnline
Anyone remember the game between these two teams near the start of the season (October 5th)? The Blues won 7-0 and seven separate players managed to score the goals. The St.Louis Blues have the second best Goals Per Game average in the entire League, at 3.70 G/G. The Blues sit at Number 1 in the League on the powerplay, which is a sensational 28.2 PP%. They face a Florida Panthers penalty kill unit tonight that is only 78.4% on the PK, which is 24th in the League (6th worst). The Blues are also not very good on the penalty kill, and are only slightly higher than the Panthers, at 78.6 PK% (21st in League). The Florida Panthers only manage to score 2.08 Goals/Game, but they may have an opportunity to score some tonight as the Blues are going with Brian Elliott in goal (confirmed). Brian has gone 0-0-1 this season with a 3.53 GAA and a .881 SV%. He has allowed 5 goals on 42 shots in his two appearances. The Blues take far too many penalties each game, and they have a weak PK unit. The Blues are currently getting 21.9 PIM/G, which is about 11 minor penalties per game on average. Mix this with a weak PK unit and there are bound to be goals scored. The Panthers need to work on their own powerplay as they are third worst in the entire league at 9.8%. The probable starter for the Panthers tonight is Jacob Markstrom, he has a record of 1-4-2 for a GAA of 3.19 and a .887 SV%. Thomas is currently on injury reserve, he isn’t doing much better at 2-3-0 and a 3.11 GAA (.905 SV%). There should be quite a few goals racked up tonight in Florida and we will take the OVER for plus money.
