Florida Panthers @ New York Rangers: Rangers in Regulation 1.76 BetOnline

The Florida Panthers suffered their eighth straight loss in a row yesterday when they lost to the Senators 3-2. The Panthers are have won only 3 games this season and as of today are 3-10-4 on the season and 1-6-1 away from home. The Rangers are on a two game winning streak (would be 5 games if not for the 2-1 loss by Anaheim on Nov.4) and have scored 9 goals across their last two games. The Rangers have split their decisions, going 8-8 this season (3-2 at home). In 16 games played, the Rangers have needed extra time only once against Detroit on Oct.26. The Rangers have had a slow offensive start to the season but now they are averaging 2.19 G/G which surpasses the Panthers 1.94 G/G. Also note that the Panthers allow 3.35 GA/G and the Rangers are allowing only 2.69 GA/G. The Florida Panthers have the WORST power play in the entire league, at 8.5 PP% which is absolutely terrible. The will face the Rangers PK unit that stops 83% (15th PP%) of their opponents power plays. The Rangers are going 18.9 PP% and they face the Panthers penalty kill that is 6th worst in the league at 78.4 PK%. The Rangers should easily be able to take care of the Panthers in 60 minutes tonight.

Edmonton Oilers @ Chicago Blackhawks : OVER 5.5 Goals 1.90 BetOnline

The Blackhawks love to score goals. They are averaging 3.47 G/G and over their last two games have scored 9 goals in a 5-2 win over Dallas last night, and a 4-1 win over Winnipeg on Nov.6. The Chicago Blackhawks have scored 22 times over their last five games, which is an average of 4.4 goals per game. The Oilers love to allow goals, as they currently allow 3.83 GA/G which is the WORST goals against average in the entire NHL right now. Another flaw with the Oilers is that they take 12.7 PIM/G which could get them into trouble: the Blackhawks power play is the 6th best in the League, at 22.4 PP%, and they will compete against the an 8th worst Oilers penalty kill unit (79 PK%).  The Blackhawks penalty kill is actually worse than the Oilers, at 77.6 PK% which is 3rd worst in the league. The Blackhawks give up 8.6 PIM/G. The probable starter for the Oilers tonight is Devan Dubnyk, who has gone 3-7-1 this season and has a 3.82 GAA and a .878 SV%. There should be lots of goals racked up in this one, and we will take the OVER for a decent price tonight in Chicago.
