The Islanders played a close game last night, and were tied 1-1 with the Rangers right up until 12:14 of the 3rd, when the Rangers decided to score 3 unanswered goals in the final minutes of the 3rd, stealing the game in a 4-1 finish.

Ottawa Senators @ Toronto Maple Leafs: OVER 6 Goals 2.02

Note: We adjusted the total to 6 goals for a better payout, if you cannot do this at your book, you will have to take the Over 5.5 for odds around 1.84.

The Leafs and Sens will meet in the battle of Ontario tonight, for the 3rd time this season. The Ottawa Senators have won two in a row, their most recent victory coming at Home against Tampa Bay in a 5-3 win. The Toronto Maple Leafs have also won two in a row, both at the Air Canada Centre, defeating Florida 6-3 on Thursday, and Tampa Bay 3-2 on Tuesday. The Leafs offense is very impressive right now, as they have scored an exceptional 3.70 goals per game over their last 10 games, however the Leafs defense continues to struggle, allowing an average of 3.20 goals against per game over their last 10 games. The Toronto defense is currently ranked 25th overall with 3.02 goals against per game, while the Senators defense is 26th overall, allowing 3.04 GA/G. When it comes to overall offense, the Senators sit 10th overall scoring 2.83 goals per game, while the Maple Leafs own the 13th place spot, scoring 2.77 goals per game overall. The over/under records for both clubs are identical, the record is 31-22 over/under (58% of games for both clubs go “over” the total). Craig Anderson is probable for the Senators. Anderson is 18-10-7 on the season with a 3.02 GAA (41st) and a .908 SV% (32nd). Jonathan Bernier is probable for Toronto with his record of 19-15-5, a 2.61 GAA (27th) and a .926 SV% (8th). These teams have met twice this season, both meetings went over the total, as we’ve seen 16 total goals in both games, an average of 8 goals per game. The Leafs have had 8 of their last 10 games go over the total, while the Senators split their last 10 totals 50/50. We have two teams here who continue to score goals, but both defenses are amongst the 5 worst in the NHL. We will take this OVER tonight and hope both offenses continue to surge at the expense of their defenses.
